1. Who We Are

Finance Mentor Daily is operated by Jorn Geutjens, a sole proprietor based in the Netherlands ("we," "us," or "our"). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through the Finance Mentor Daily app and website (together, the "Service").

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data — such as your name and email address when you create an account.
• Usage data — your lesson progress, streaks, and in-app activity, so we can save and personalize your learning journey.
• Device and technical data — such as device type, operating system, app version, and general diagnostic/crash data, used to keep the Service running reliably.
• Communications — messages you send us, for example to info@financementordaily.com, including their content and any information you choose to include.
• Payment-related data — if you purchase a subscription, this is processed directly by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; we may receive limited transaction confirmation data (such as subscription status) from these platforms.

We do not collect sensitive financial account information such as bank login credentials, account numbers, or transaction histories — Finance Mentor Daily is an educational app and does not connect to or read your personal financial accounts.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including saving your lesson progress across sessions;
• Personalize the content and pace of lessons shown to you;
• Communicate with you, including responding to support requests sent to info@financementordaily.com and, where relevant, sending service-related transactional emails (such as account or subscription confirmations);
• Maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Service, including diagnosing technical issues;
• Comply with our legal obligations, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — to create your account, deliver lessons, and manage your subscription;
• Legitimate interests — to maintain and improve the Service and keep it secure, balanced against your rights and interests;
• Consent — where we ask for it specifically, for example for optional marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time;
• Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with the law.

5. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf, strictly to operate the Service:

We require these service providers to protect your data under written data processing agreements and to provide a level of protection for your personal data that is consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law — they are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

We may add or change service providers as the Service evolves (for example, adding an email delivery provider); this policy will be updated to reflect any material change, and where required, we will seek your consent.

We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers (including Google and Bubble) may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognized under GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data continues to receive an adequate level of protection.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data as described in Section 8 below, except where we are required to retain certain data for longer to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.

8. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly within the app, from the account settings menu. You can also request account deletion by emailing us at info@financementordaily.com from your registered email address.

When you delete your account, we permanently delete your associated personal data — rather than merely deactivating or freezing it — within 24 hours, except for data we are required by law to keep for longer (for example, for tax or accounting purposes), or data we need to retain to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

9. Your Rights

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• Request restriction of, or object to, certain processing;
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the data protection authority in your own EU country of residence.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The financementordaily.com website itself does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If this changes — for example, if we add analytics tools — we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent through a cookie banner.

We do not currently use any technology that tracks you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. If this changes, on iOS we will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before doing so, and we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@financementordaily.com so we can delete it.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including relying on the security infrastructure of reputable providers such as Google and Bubble.io — to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
